Understand the Format of IELTS

IELTS has two types such as Academic and General Training, in which Academic is designed for people who wish to study abroad. Whereas, General training is useful to get PR and work permit in English Speaking nation. So you have to choose according to your requirement and need.

Moreover, IELTS has 4 modules include Listening, Reading, Writing, and speaking. In which you have to attempt 40-40 questions in both Listening and Reading in one hour and every question contain 1 mark. Well, there is no negative marking in the IELTS test, so no need to worry. And In writing you have to write the 2 tasks, one of 150 words and the other one is of the 250-word count. Whereas, in speaking, you have to talk with the examiner for 12-15 mins.

Understand the Scoring Format.

You should set your goal prior to book your IELTS test because it will help you get your desired band score. In IELTS there are 0-9 bands and 6 bands are considered as competent, 7 bands are considered the as good user. And if you take 8 and 9 bands in IELTS then you will be tagged as very good and expert users. So, you should set your goal how many bands do you need to get a visa.

If you are totally new to English then you may take more time to crack the exam. You should first examine your weaknesses in order to work on it.
